Overview

The VIDMUX® VGA video switch enables up to 16 computers to be connected to a single video monitor, projector or LCD/plasma screen.

Compatible with PCs, SUNs and MACs with VGA video.
Supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA).
Eliminate redundant monitors.
Ideal for classrooms and boardrooms.
Interconnect NTI switches & splitters for complex applications.
Available RS232 control option.
Monitors and speakers are hot-pluggable.
Rackmount kit included 8-port model. Optional rackmount case available for the 16-port switch.

Application Notes

Switched and Local Display of 3 Computers

Each user can locally control and view their own computer. A remote monitor can display the output from any attached video inputs.

Optional

Rackmount Option

The 16-port switch is available in a rackmount enclosure.
Add “-R” to Part # for Rackmounted in a 19" metal case.
Dimensions WxDxH (in.): 19x6x1.75

RS232 Control Option

Female DB9 connector.
Baud rate 300 through 9600.
Address up to 15 units, all of which can be daisy-chained and controlled by one serial port.
Add "-RS" to the part number to specify this option. (Available for all switches except for 2 Port-TTL Models.)
Local control is not available when "-RS" is specified.
RS232 Commands
- RS - causes switch to reset so that IN1 connects to OUT1, IN2 connects to OUT2.
- CS - causes one INx/OUTx connection to occur.
- CA - causes all inputs to connect to specified output.
- RO - reads what input is connected to specified output.
- RU - reads size of matrix, reports number of inputs and number of outputs on specified switch.
