    • Bend radius: 0.375" (9.53 mm)
  • Plenum rating: CL2P (UL)
  • Available 2-wire cable (y) lengths: 5/10/20/50/100 feet.
    • Contact an NTI product consultant for cable lengths over 100 feet (30 meters) - supports up to 1,000 feet (305 meters).
  • Powered by E-SEMS-16U and SERIMUX-S-x.
  • Regulatory approvals: CE, RoHS
  • Requires the E-SEMS-16U and SERIMUX-S-x to operate.
  • Use self-adhesive clips (E-CLPxx-LD) to prevent sensor rope cable from shifing after installation

Application Notes

  • Detect Conductive Liquids in a Server Room
Detect Conductive Liquids in a Server Room
The ENVIROMUX-LDSx-y water sensor cable is available in lengths from 1 to 1000 feet (0.3 to 305 meters), and can be located up to 100 feet (30 meters) away from the sensor unit via 2-wire cable. The sensor unit can be located up to 1,000 feet (305 meters) away from the ENVIROMUX-SEMS-16 via CAT5/5e/6 cable. The water sensor connects to the 2-wire cable with a built-in connector, and the 2-wire cable connects to the sensor unit via screw terminal. If water or other conductive liquid contacts the water sensor cable, the ENVIROMUX-LDSx-y reports the detection to the ENVIROMUX-SEMS-16.
  • Construction of Liquid Detection Sensor Rope
    Loading image...
The ENVIROMUX-LDSx-y Liquid Detection Sensor Rope has a non-conductive polymer mesh covering two sensing wires that lie between the polymer carriers. Fluid has to penetrate the non-conductive mesh in order to close the circuit, which triggers an alert that is reported to the ENVIROMUX-SEMS-16(U). The non-conductive polymer mesh prevents artificial bridges between the sensing wires and false alarms caused by dirt/dust buildup, metal contact or pressure on the rope. Since the mesh covers only the two sensing cables and not the entire rope, the rope dries quickly after being in contact with fluids, minimizing delays between normalcy.
