The USB-C5-LC extends one self-powered or bus-powered USB device up to 150 feet. The USB extenders consist of two units, the local unit and the remote unit, which are interconnected with CAT5/5e/6 cable.

The USB-C5-LC extends one USB device up to 150 feet (46 meters). The USB extenders consist of two units, the local unit and the remote unit, which are interconnected with CAT5/5e/6 cable.

Local Unit

USB-C5-LC: one male USB Type A connector on attached 10-inch (254-millimeter) cable.
Supports a USB Computer (PC, SUN, MAC).
Multiplatform support: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Server 2000/2003/2008, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD and MAC OS 9/10.

Remote Unit

One female USB Type A connector.
Supports low-speed and full-speed USB devices.

Interface Cables

One-meter male USB Type A to male USB Type B interface cable
Existing device cables with male Type A connector required.

Extension Cable

Use CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 UTP straight through cable for TIA/EIA-568B wiring terminated with standard RJ45 connectors (not included).

Extension Limits

Extend CAT5/5e/6 up to 150 feet (46 meters).
Use of CAT6 cable may decrease the maximum length of extension.

Application Notes

Extend a PS/2 Keyboard, PS/2 Mouse, VGA Monitor and USB Device

Use an XTENDEX KVM extender, ST-C5KVM-600, to extend the keyboard, monitor and mouse up to 600 feet, and an XTENDEX ST-C5-LC to extend the self-powered USB device up to 100 feet using CAT5 cable.
